Through discussion courses, event planning, and outreach activities, volunteers with the Arkansas Earth Institute work to enhance their communities by connecting people who want to make a difference. Volunteering with the Arkansas Earth Institute is an easy and fulfilling way to to deepen your commitment to the environment and build community.
Become a Course Coordinator
Gather a group of friends, family, co-workers or neighbors who may be interested in taking one of our discussion courses. Course Coordinators schedule the course, distribute materials, collect money for books, encourage membership and engage with participants.
Mentor a Discussion Group
The key role of the mentor is to help new discussion groups get started. The mentor’s main objective is to facilitate the first session of a course and be available to ensure a positive experience for all participants.

Build Community
The Arkansas Earth Institute is always looking for creative and outgoing individuals to help with our events. We host an annual Friendraiser in the fall and a retreat in the winter, as well as occasional activities, such as workshops and film screenings. If you would like to use your skills and talents to help with our public relations outreach, event planning, office work or graphic design, please contact us.
