Welcome to the Arkansas Earth Institute

The Arkansas Earth Institute is an affiliate of the Northwest Earth Institute which is recognized as a national leader in developing innovative programs that empower individuals and organizations to protect the earth. These programs emphasize individual responsibility, the importance of a supportive community, and the dual need to walk lightly on and to take action for the earth.

Get Involved!

Volunteer with the Arkansas Earth Institute

  • Live more sustainably

  • Deepen commitment about what matters most in your life

  • Create community around what you care about

  • Connect with others who are helping make a difference in their communities

Here’s how:

Become a Course Coordinator

Simply gather a group of friends, family, co-workers or neighbors who may be interested in taking a course. Coordinators schedule the course, distribute materials, collect money for books, encourage membership and engage with participants.

Mentor a Discussion Group

The key role of the mentor is to help new groups get started. The mentor’s main objective is to facilitate the first session of a course and be available to insure a positive experience for all participants.

Help Build Community

We need creative and outgoing individuals who want to work on special events during the year. These events offer additional educational opportunities and chances to meet discussion course participants from other groups.

Contact the AEI office if you would like to volunteer via email info@arkansasearth.org or call 501-213-5388.
